SPD is excited to announce its membership in the New Zealand Geothermal Association (NZGA), a leading organization dedicated to promoting the sustainable development of geothermal resources across New Zealand.
As a pioneer in well engineering, SPD recognizes the vital role that geothermal energy plays in reducing carbon emissions and contributing to a sustainable future. By joining the NZGA, we aim to collaborate with other industry leaders, researchers, and stakeholders to further enhance the growth and efficiency of geothermal energy in New Zealand.
Joining the New Zealand Geothermal Association is an important step for us, stated Colin Finnegan, Well Engineering Manager at SPD. We are committed to supporting the transition to renewable energy sources, and geothermal energy is a key part of that equation. We look forward to sharing our well engineering knowledge and learning from others in the geothermal community as we collectively work towards innovative and sustainable energy solutions.
Membership in the NZGA will enable SPD to engage in vital discussions surrounding geothermal technology, access resources, and participate in workshops and conferences. Additionally, this aligns with our long-term strategy to invest in cleaner energy alternatives and contribute to New Zealand’s ambitious climate goals.
The NZGA has been at the forefront of promoting geothermal energy, driving research, policy, and collaboration in the sector. We are thrilled to be part of this network and look forward to contributing to its ongoing initiatives.
